John unless chessmaster has the features that Fritz has in the analysis sweate ( Full Anal ,blunder check, compare analysis , deep positiong analysis and shoot out) it will never be better!!! I know just what your going to say we have simmilar features that do the same thing. Bull, chessmasters idea of analysis is telling you what is going on in a game (ex. bishop blocks the check)(what a joke) instead of telling you what you did wroung with an alternitive line of play automatically puting the line in the notation window with the option of playing through it. CM does have a nice feature with adio advice but give me a break should i do this for every move of the game if i want an alternitive line for every move. More over with adio advice you dont have the option of getting the new line of play in the notation window to save and scroll though it unless you do it manulally. Cm might be the most popular program but it will never be the most popular program with serious club players unless these features are offord like they are in Fritz! However if cm had these features i would be sold but untill then i will stick with Fritz! CMs idea of making a program better is putting in more tutorials this wont cut it. If cm is really interested in making a better program for 10 000 i would take these ideas to the drawing board. Or you can put in another 50 min of josh and call it a new program. ( what a joke) Regards
