Yes, of course he blundered, trying to do something new and special against the
computer program. ;-)
But this happens, in human-human games as well, and punishing such tactical
blunders (with about a pawn value) is not always achieved in these games.

I have to add that I don't know the hardware Zugzwang was running on.

Still I think the 3rd place in a IM/GMtournament (normal conditions as far as I
see, no blitz or speed chess) is some (!not: enough) more evidence for what I
believe, estimating about halfway in between what Bob Hyatt (being quite
sceptical) and others (being too enthusiastic about the present strength of
chess programs from my view) think.

I am convinced that the top rated programs even on available fast PC hardware
(PII-400 or faster) will really reach lower GM playing strength (in tournament
games!) within one or two years.

I will send Bob a bottle of German beer (about the only real beer in the world
besides the original Pilsener) if I prove to be wrong or even probably wrong.
:-))

You, Moritz, have to visit us with your family to get the same (or more of it),
no well packed snail mail... :-)

Kind regards
from Dirk
