Yes that is correct Sarah - I typed an incorrect message - I was trying to say that could delete some of the Cm8K files (voice, pieces, database etc) and just have the bare mininmum to generate the cm8k opk number. To repeat and correct my own post - you need the CM8K GUI to generate the CM8K opk number to use CM8K engine as an imported winboard engine in the CM9K GUI. Sorry for all the confusion - but under the import winboard engine method (using inbetween.exe - very similiar method as using CM8K under the Fritz GUI), the CM8K engine works fine (as a winboard engine) under the CM9K GUI using of course the CM8K opk number. I'm doing it right now as I type this. Thanks for pointing out the error in my post - you do need to keep the CM8K GUI to generate the CM8K opk.
