Does anyone know if the commercial chess programmers will eventually release multi-processor versions of their programs? I suppose the Fritz people have already begun working on this, as was reported in the Fritz-Anand mini-match, but how about Rebel, Hiarcs, etc.? With the PII, Xeon, AMD's upcoming K7, and Windows NT all supporting multi-processors, this would seem to be the next big opportunity to radically increase the strength of chess programs. If Bob could do it with Crafty, I hope the commercial programmers won't be far behind. Bela Evans
