I think commercial chess programmers have to think what most of the chess
program buying public have for computers. If most of their sales will go to
those with Pentium90 computers, I think that is the group they'd most likely
program for. Certainly the multi-processors will come in the future. But I think
the commercial companies have to think where most of their sales will go. If
they spent their time working on programs for main frames, for example, I don't
think their sales would be too great. I may be wrong, but I think you have to go
where the greater sales are to stay in business and make a few dollars. Don P.
