The effect of the stroke was significant.  For those that knew mike, he was
a "strapping" type guy.  IE broad shoulders, etc.  Last time I saw him he looked
incredibly frail and appeared to have lost a massive amount of weight/muscle
(he was never overweight at all, IMHO).

No doubt something that could affect him physically could also affect his
personality as well, although I have chatted with him on ICC many times and
he seemed like "Mike" to me, but perhaps that is because we have known each
other for 20+ years...
