The problem was that the SSDF was inadvertantly running a mentor engine instance
at the same time as the engines playing the actual game. This was not entirely
the SSDF's fault, as the GUI was a bit vague as to how and why this was
happening in the first place.

However, the ONLY way that you can have a mentor engine instance running is in
the Game Room. If you are running a tournament in the Tournament Room, there is
no danger of this. Secondly, you can ONLY have a mentor engine instance running
if you have either of:

a) the Mentor Lines window open, and/or
b) the Visual Thinking window open WITH the "Mentor" button checked.

If neither of these are true, then you are fine.

The easiest way to check if there is a mentor engine running (in the Game Room)
is by looking at the bottom-right corner of the main window. It shows the mentor
engine status ("Inactive", "Commenting", "Analyzing", etc.).

Finally, if you want to be DOUBLY (triply?) sure, you can always check the
Windows Task Manager.
