I'm afraid I don't know of a single _good_ book on openings. I learnt
openings: 1. reading chess magazines and books (with commented games); 2.
playing games and analyzing with my opponent.
  For commented games:
  - My favourite book: David Brontein's "Tournament chess"
  - My favourite collection: Mikhail Botvinnik's "Selected games"

  José C.

PS.: I've just translated to english the titles of the spanish books, so they
might be different in the original vesions.
