[ I forgot to mention this in my first note on this subject. ] This 'EGT-slicing' by 'P'-position was demonstrated by JSchaeffer_et_al re CHINOOK's checkers EGTs ... and by Peter Karrer in ICGA_J when creating the KQQKQP EGT and the required 'slices' of the KQPKQP~ EGT (which assumed the approximation P=Q). Requires some subtlety in the unmove function though! g
