I had used a book created from GM games to 'remove' the effect of changes to the
crafty books (generated seperately by each version but using the same
parameters).

The reason I started the experiment is that I had seen results showing 17.10
scoring better in individual tournaments. I thought I might see that at fast
controls the 17.10 was better than 18.15 and and longer controls 18.15 would
pull ahead.

I am currently running some tests without books from specific positions with
several engines I will include 17.10 to see how it compares in a 'fair' test to
18.15.
