Using Chess Base 7, I propose to produce a database of only games involving commercial chess programs versus humans. I'd like to provide some level of consistancy in results and games chosen from databases that already exist - So I'm asking here for opinions on which databases have the most consistant data, and are well organized in terms of time controls and spelling of player names. And can be varified and cross referenced for accurcy. By necessity such a database would exclude programs like Crafty & Ferret and others, but we can do one on those, seperately as well. If posters here can point me to the best sources for this material, I think we can produce a fair starting list for how the programs do against humans, as Chess Base 7 has some very good duplicate removel features, as well as being able to automatically generate statistics. Also if anyone wants to help me get a good start on this, email (mrslug@nwlink.com) or (Hollydylan@Aol.com), any games you have of human versus computer games, especially if they have not been published before!
