If you fail high 5 times in a row, there's a good chance the 6th one is going also, so you make a bigger score jump in your guess than you otherwhise would. If you fail high again, you take an even bigger jump. If you fail low, you go back to 0.01 and start failing low towards the score. Bascially, you try to make bigger steps to see you win a pawn rather than 100 0.01 steps. -- GCP
