Interesting. I didn't know that. Rather I thought that by adding the quotation
marks this could be cured. To be clear , this means that
some people will have problems with something like
/firstChessProgramNames={GnuChess
"WCrafty-187.exe"/fd=c:\winboard\crafty
}

yes. easiest to put them all in one folder. You can specify different folders
for some engines (crafty is one), but I always thought it is easier to put them
all in one directory. If you don't have a complete set it can be confusing
sometimes to keep track of what files you have, but SCID and Whilem are good for
tracking the EGTB files you have
