Hi John, I was able to download from Chessmaster.com both the patch and the EGDB to my newly acquired CM9K. The problem is that the Endgame Database is too complicated for me to implement. So I just 'parked' it in My Documents and I think a copy in my Desktop. Will it affect my CM9K play if I don't implement it? Should I delete it from My Documents and/or Desktop to ensure that it is not detrimental to my patched CM9K? I think EGDB only enables one to create an endgame database of endgames you either play or import. As it is its endgame play is great enough for me but it still does not beat Fritz7 or Junior7 if they played each other using same hardware. Why is this? Sandi
