I think that there is misunderstanding here Martin only means that you cannot make conclusion which programs is better and he does not mean to say that you cannot learn from the games. I do not think that martin disagree that even few moves give information that can be productive for getting better version. You can have a guess that you believe in based on 10 games but when the difference in strength is smaller than 100 elo the guess may be often wrong. The guess is still productive and it is clearly better than a random change that you can be almost sure that it is not better than the default version. Uri
