That's going to be time much better invested. IMHO for someone that understands computers well enough there is no real learning curve in the upgrade from Win9x to Win2K. If you need Windows for whatever reasons, I very strongly recommend this upgrade. All the good things people have been saying as far as Win2K vs Win9x are concerned are true ;) Since I have Win2K installed (more than half a year), I have had one crash. That's one too many, but acceptable, and about 200 times less than Win9x. I now finally dare to use Windows for serious work. Dont get me wrong. You will like the upgrade to Linux a lot. But if you still need Windows for whatever reason, then you *should* upgrade to Win2K. I have been a very satisfied Linux user for more than 5 years, but for some purposes, I still need Windows. For example, my scanner and digital camera, and some audio software. -- GCP
