I do not think that most top programs cannot find the moves even if they run for days The position of larsen-spassky is probably going to be solved in at most some hours by the top programs. There are programs like Junior7 that can solve it very fast. I also did not analayze all the positions but it may be interesting to know if all the moves are correct because not every sacrifice of humans is correct. Here is one that is easy and even old Deep Fritz can solve it in few minutes(Junior7 is even faster) New position [D]2kr3r/ppp1qpp1/2p5/2b2b1p/2P1pPn1/1P2P1PP/PBQPB3/RN2K2R b KQ - 0 1 Analysis by Deep Fritz: 1...Nxe3-- ² (0.56) Depth: 1/4 00:00:00 1...Nxe3-- 2.dxe3 ± (1.37) Depth: 1/5 00:00:00 1...Bxe3! ± (1.22) Depth: 1/6 00:00:00 1...Bxe3! 2.hxg4 ± (1.00) Depth: 1/9 00:00:00 1...Nf6! = (0.03) Depth: 1/9 00:00:00 1...Nf6! µ (-0.97) Depth: 1/9 00:00:00 1...Nf6 2.Nc3 µ (-0.88) Depth: 2/8 00:00:00 1...Nf6 2.Nc3 h4 µ (-0.97) Depth: 3/12 00:00:00 1...Nf6 2.a3 h4 3.g4 µ (-0.94) Depth: 4/15 00:00:00 2kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 h4 3.b4 Bd6 µ (-0.84) Depth: 5/19 00:00:00 7kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Bd6 3.b4 g5 4.fxg5 Bxg3+ 5.Kd1 µ (-0.81) Depth: 6/17 00:00:00 21kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Bd6 3.b4 c5 4.Nc3 h4 µ (-0.75) Depth: 7/21 00:00:00 69kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Qa4 a6 5.Bf1 µ (-0.78) Depth: 8/24 00:00:00 137kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Bb6 3.b4 c5 4.Nc3 Qe6 5.Na4 Bxh3 6.Nxc5 µ (-0.72) Depth: 9/28 00:00:00 415kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Bf1 c5 5.Nc3 h4 6.g4 µ (-0.81) Depth: 10/31 00:00:02 1543kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Bf1 c5 5.Nc3 h4 6.g4 Bg6 µ (-0.72) Depth: 11/30 00:00:04 2863kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Qa4 Kb8 5.Bd4 a6 6.Bf1 h4 7.g4 ³ (-0.69) Depth: 12/31 00:00:14 7852kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Bf1 c5 5.Nc3 Rhg8 6.bxc5 Bxc5 7.Rb1 µ (-0.78) Depth: 13/37 00:01:00 35799kN 1...Nf6 2.a3 Qe6 3.b4 Be7 4.Qa4 Kb8 5.Bd4 c5 6.bxc5 ³ (-0.66) Depth: 14/40 00:01:47 64942kN 1...h4! ³ (-0.69) Depth: 14/40 00:03:34 138216kN 1...h4! 2.Bxg4 Bxg4 3.hxg4 hxg3 4.Rg1 Rh2 5.Na3 Bxa3 6.0-0-0 g2 7.d4 -+ (-1.47) Depth: 14/40 00:04:56 192799kN 1...h4! -+ (-1.78) Depth: 15/39 00:07:31 298727kN (blass, tel-aviv 14.09.2002) Uri
