It is better to do it with positions he could not know before. for example the positions after 10 moves in a tournament that will be done in the future. I did it between fritz5 and Junior5 in the 2 serious games in the match Rebel-anand(30 minutes per game +30 seconds per move and the results were good for fritz5 (3.5:.5) I believe Junior was not lucky that I chose these games and it does not prove fritz5 is better than Junior5 in general positional understanding.
