I'm only saw notes about using the ChessSvr program on Tim Mann's page. This program work with simulating (take control of) the mouse or keyboard and enter the moves for you. Do there exist any driver that simulate an engine instead? I did try the ChessSvr program but had some trouble with it. Sometimes it stoped to respond (just before CM was mated so maybe it was built-in) and I couldn't get it to play with the black pieces. I made a clean ini file with just the sleep time and humen=1 tag. Maybe someone have a better ini file for me? But, there is more to it than just moving the pieces. When you try to play with a DGT setup you also want the program to use the external clock for time management. I don't see how this could be done with any outside driver either it simulate the mouse or an engine. Also if it simulate an engine you could not play rated game in CM8000, is this too changed in CM9000. I know you can set a rating for a winboard engine in CM9000 and play against it, but could this engine earn rating by playing against the built-in personalities? I just have the DGT-board now but I will place an order for a new board with clock in a few days. Thereby I will be more sceptical to buy chess-program that not could be connected to the board/clock. Especialy now when my own child walks his first step in the local chess-club. Odd Gunnar
