It is not Windows nor the drivers for your video card that are messing up your configuration. It is the VIA 4-in-1 drivers that are for your motherboard. Matrox does somethings in the agp production that the VIA drivers seem to fight with. Once again your shooting yourself in the foot blaming Windows, or Windows based drivers. The drivers for your motherboard are _exactly_ the same for Windows or for Linux. Possibly call VIA and make a compliant. Just quit ranting about how you hate Windows because of this or that and _actually_ look into your problem before crying.
