Got to wait untill the weekend..SInce I don't have a scanner here. >If not, could you at least describe the packaging? Does the packaging look like >the kind of box shots that you see at chessmaster.com? It looks much like the screenshots , coming in a small box. Differences 1)On the top left corner I don't have that black thing saying "Pc cd-rom". The red bar saying "The world's most popular...." goes across the whole box. 2)Below that is a yellow logo saying "Official US Chess Championship sponsor.." 3) On the same line as ubisoft on the bottom to it's left there is a logo saying "2 Cdset" and to the extreme left there is a logo "Everyone.. content rated by ESRB" 4)Also sticker added saying "Another premium Product exclusively distributed by New ERA entertainment Pte ltd"... with address and url www.neweraonline.com > >We would like to determine if this is "grey market", "black market", or >whatever.... Sigh . Here we go again.. I have bought games from New era many times. It's quite reputable. It has the manual, the pamplet about joing www.uschesslive.org etc.. Price is comparable in terms of US$... The last time I bought from them (New Era) was Age of Wonders 2. It had patching problems, and the developer of AOW II also initally thought it was a pirated copy..Turns out New Era had the rights to distribute but they goofed by pressing a pre-release version!! Thankful, no such problems for Chessmaster 9000 here... Am I supposed to think this is a black market copy? Aaron >Many thanks, > >jm
