The default selective search setting for CM has always been a bit behind the cutting-edge because our typical user does NOT have a cutting-edge CPU. But, now that P4s are more common, we split the difference and went with 9 (Kurt used 12 almost exclusively, I believe). >And now a question. Are the method for CM8000 under Fritz7 GUI valid for CM9000? The METHOD is the same, but the calculations are not. So, to use The King v3.23, you need the CM9000 GUI. To use The King 3.12, you need the CM8000 GUI. jm
