Most machines sold for the last year or so do not support DOS mode in any way. No DOS mouse driver anywhere on the machine, and no DOS CD-ROM driver in config.sys (or no config.sys at all). And the manufacturers won't provide tech support for setting these up, and it's very difficult for me help people do it over the phone.
