Run Fritz
Select your engine
Set time controls

In old Chessbase: connect hardware auto232 com 1 then start a 2 engine match
(under file->new game)

In new Chessbase: start a 2 engine match (it should popup the auto232 window, if
it doesnt do it the old chessbase way)

Then run your winboard script

com1 and com2 are connected thru a null-modem cable

"C:\Program Files\WinBoard\winboard.exe" -zp -ics -fcp "winboard232c -com 2" -
icshost chessclub.com -icshelper timestamp

fritz 7

select engine

ctrt Z 5 0

connect hardware auto232 1.0 to com1

winboard ics Interaction Window

g

connected as guest

m guest2 5 0 (guest2 is a friend of mine on another computer)

guest2 accepts the challenge and plays white e4

winboard has seen e4 and played e4

fritz-board has seen e4 and plays black e5

winboard doesn't see fritz's move and time is running up for black

of course the other end - guest2 doesn't see black reply either
