A smiley is just a friendly gesture, nothing more nothing less.
This is not the first time you seem to have a problem with my use of smilies,
when i use them, it usually is not meant as a joke (as you put it) but as a
friendly gesture.

There is such a thing as being too serious (insert smiley)
