He is not. I think you are doing more to insult the maturity and security of the
author of Ruffian by implying that he has that little emotional security in
himself that he will be damaged by someone saying that this kind of thing has
happened before, and it's worth looking into.

Yes, but unfortunately the governing body of amateur computer chess programming
doesn't exist, so I don't think they will be launching any investigations
anytime soon. LOL...

Not at all. I play online 3D video games, where you run around and shoot other
people. It's great fun. I'm pretty good at it, and I get accused of cheating
fairly regularly. Seeing as how I'm not THAT insecure with myself, I take it as
a compliment rather than get upset about it. If I were the author, I'd be quite
proud that people were that shocked by my engine's strength. It might be another
thing if Bob had said, "Ruffian is a clone! The author is a theif!!!" but he
didn't. Even if he did, the author hopefully has the maturity to take the high
road and think of it as a compliment. You unfortunately have expressed your
belief that the author doesn't have the emotional security and maturity to do
that. Perhaps you should email him and apologize for expressing that publicly.
Or better yet, launch an investigation!!!

Good, then we will wait for your public apology for implying that the author is
so emotionally unstable that he can't handle Bob saying Ruffian's situation is
unlikely, which it is.
