That is the only way that The King could "find the solution at once announcing mate". Otherwise, there is no reason to believe that The King would perform significantly better in the Fritz GUI than in the CM GUI, with the possible exception that the CM GUI might take a few more % (no more than 2 or 3 at most) of the CPU, depending on what windows you have open. I don't have Fritz, so I cannot make a comparison. However, if YOU have CM8000 as well as CM9000, then go ahead and try The King v3.23 inside the CM8000 GUI and see if the results are better than in the CM9000 GUI. I would bet that they will not be. jm
