Other than giving me the list of the files in the EGDB folder, so I can see what
files might be missing, I can't think of anything other than uninstalling and
reinstalling (which I know is annoying).

Just FYI, since Kurt mentioned it, several people HAVE reported problems with
the EGDBs appearing to not work, but in every case it was either user error or
user confusion. I have no idea what it can be in this case, however....
