"Boffins have harnessed advanced computer techniques to devise how to play a
perfect game of Awari, an ancient board game originating in Africa that is more
than 3,500 years old, for the first time.
Awari is a two-player game where both players own six pits, in which stones are
kept. These 48 stones are sown around over the pits, and can be captured
according to the rules of the game. The objective of the game is to capture more
than 24 stones.
Although the rules are simple, the game requires deep strategic insight to be
played well (...)"
