Not everything besides Winboard/UCI is an Extrawurst. Who defined Winboard/UCI as "standard"? (Except you) You act like you are on a mission, maybe called "Win-Borg", resistance is futile, eh? :-) Accept that there are other computer chess enthusiasts who give a damn for Winboard.
