I tell you Ruffian plays like Rebel10 Anti GM No coments where made Somebody tells it's a Fritz6 clone full pages are shown. I once did send the precise settings to Jeroen Noomen with the personelety testing of Rebel Century With some adjustments I previously told you that the pawnstructure had a high valeu but it was precisely this what I changed. from 100 to 105 Strangely enough this sometimes leads to faster searching. I also used a selectivety of 115 Other selectivety made it play totaly diferent but this might have changed in the newer versions. Ofcourse Rebel still used Normal search back then. I never checked these settings with nulmove especialy because it was not reliable back then And in fact still isn't Though it's midle game is slightly improved It's openings play is somewhat weaker and Rebel xp for dos makes many times bad evaluation for end games. while in fact the settings should give Rebel a better vieuw on when to change from the midlegame to the endgame wich is not the case. But I think that the prunning settings are the cause of this rather then the checks captures remaining settings. You now also wil get a better vieuw on what i have done for openings theory. Because where Ruffian now wil go wrong I made some adjustments. I think in many cases Ruffian wold get an even better results if it used a more modern openingsbook. Even the old Tiger book must be verry intresting because this where position in which Rebel 10 Antigm preformed best. Though it wasn't far from ready yet. And even the mistakes where still in the book I saw that 5 minutes after I did send the user book to Jeroen Noomen Like Jeroen van Dorp noticed corectly luckly it was only 1 position Which will not acure in computer computer games hehe You also will got the same los as Gambit Tiger had against Gulko Using that book hehe Okay it are actualy three mesages now But it might be of intrest For the Author of Ruffian and for the Author of Rebel.
