GUI development is not: I make my GUI compatible to UCI and WB but my own engine don't supported standard protocols. If persons used free software in own developments he must give also a little bit. This is the concept of Freeware but firms igorned normaly things of live. The point of view is also: How can a user try Tiger in WinBoard or other GUIs. Tiger works only in Chess Assistant (with an own protocol), in ChessBase GUI (with CB Native protocol) and in Chess Partner GUI. >Their implementation is just as good as CA and CM and in addition they have a >method to play engine-engine matches (between winboard-engines if you like) that >is better than the normal autoplayer (this is also included for interfaceing >with other gui). No interest: Chess Tiger is an engine which say to me: "You must have" The "You must have" engines are the bad way for make a little bit for all users of chess software! >If this isn't enough you don't need to buy two gui for doing these matches. I have only interest that we all found a way to make computer chess interesting for all groups of persons. If we find this way we all have more possibilitys to make more publicity for computer chess. >Odd Gunnar >(Do I buy it, no I wait for CA7 :) ) :-) OK, all GUI which we have are good. I know also all commercial GUIs. I wrote reviews about every of this GUIs. But if all have a standard is this better for the group of users and you must not programming adapter :-) By the way your adpater is good :-)) Best and regards to Norway! Frank
