Hi,

in my opinion the firms have a false marketing opinion.
Every firm can more engines for sell if the engines are also compatible to
WinBoard or UCI.

Yes, the copy protection is a reason!
Look the way from John Merlino and his team.
It's to 75% OK, unfortunately, no opening book if I will play under WinBoard
ifself.
