The way I employ is to give the opponent +2 seconds per move extra, in Fritz 7.
This way F7 thinks the opponent has a little more time than it has.  The
opponent has the proper time set. For example both sides have 30 mins, but Fritz
7 or any other time-out type program, gives a +2 second advantage per move, that
does not really exist.
