There seems to be a bug when pondering. If Ruffian 1.0.0 is set up under Fritz7-/Hiarcs8-GUI with ponder=off, there is no problem at all in running the program in engine-engine matches. My "ruffian.cfg" looks as follows: RESIGN 600 KEEP_HASH 1 HASH 32M EGTB_HASH_SIZE 1M LOGFNAME "" BOOK "ruffian.bok" TB_PATH "c:/tbs" I have however stated earlier that Ruffian 1.0.0 UCI does not seem to use this configuration file. It's most probably only needed if you run Ruffian 1.0.0 as winboard engine. Kurt
