As far as I can tell _all but one_ of the existing handheld engines are derivative of existing desktop engines! (The one which is not, PocketChess, is probably the weakest of the lot). Concerning the PC version, I suspect most people will say "well, this looks not bad for £15" rather than "the ceiling is falling, this was sold before for £40" (or whatever 6.5 went for). Alastair
