The link above dosn't show that ponder is worse. Crafty got the same result with ponder=on and Ponder=off. Up to the moment we don't know if Crafty's opponents had Ponder=on or off when playing Crafty. And we only know the total hash size is 128 Mb, but not what hash= and hashP= . If we assume Crafty to be somewhat weeker than it's opponents and the matches were Crafty with ponder - Opponent with ponder Crafty without ponder - Opponent without ponder then nothing is shown. Only that Crafty is somewhat weeker. Regards Bernhard
