Further, as far as I have been able to ascertain, the AMD 2600+ is vaporware. I've been trying to buy one for the last 2-3 weeks and haven't been able to find one anywhere. This is supported by a recent article in the Inquirer indicating similar shortages. Apparently the "launch" of the 2400+ and 2600+ was on paper with only a few demo chips out. Based on that, the Intel comparison seems quite appropriate. Paul
