Since the books are different I assume you choose to play without books because you wanted an even match. Up to now the engines need assistance by book, book learning, position learning and tablebases. These things may be regarded as the arms and the legs of an engine. Cutting them apart is cripling the engine. Think about playing the Muzio without a book! Kind regards Bernhard
