Subject: Question about commands that winboard engines can get

I already asked it in the winboard forum but I am going to ask here again:

1)Can I assume that I get xboard and protover only one time and that these
commands are the first commands that I get from winboard and are there
more commands that I can get from winboard only one time before the first game?

2)Can you give me list of the commands that engines can expect in the following
situations(unfortunately the winboard protocol make it clear only what to expect
in analysis mode and if I can save code by not caring about every possible
command then it is better):

a)Commands that the engine can get from winboard in engine-engine games
that are:

a1)commands that the engine can get from winboard in the beginning of the game
before the first move after the new command.

a2)Commands that the engine can get from winboard when it is calculating it's
move.

a3)Commands that the engine can get from winboard when it is the opponent turn
to move(are they the same when ponder on or ponder off).

a4)commands that the engine can expect from winboard after getting the result
command to winboard or after sending the result command to winboard but before
the new command for a new game.

b)Commands that the engine can expect from a user during engine-engine games or
engine-human games in the same situations.
