Another statistical view, as I prefer knockout matches over round robins, it's interesting to see how the standings would change if you just scored each individual matchup as win/draw/loss (in brackets: original position in Chessfun's tourney): 1. (5) Chess Tiger 14.0 +31 =0 -1 2. (2) Deep Fritz 7 +30 =1 -1 3. (3) Fritz 7 008 +30 =0 -2 4. (1) Fritz 7 002 +29 =1 -2 5. (4) Hiarcs 8 +27 =1 -4 6. (6) Gambit Tiger 2.0 +25 =0 -7 ... ??.(21) Ruffian 1.0.0 +13 =1 -18 This means CT14 would have fared much better in a knockout tourney as it beat 31 out of 32 opponents. --- Shep
