Binary comparisons don't yield a thing unless you can understand machine code as well as a CPU can. :) The CB version has to be compiled with a whole different set of output routines, so it will have a lot less in common with the CP version than you think. Besides I don't think you could mark the spots where code is "for output" and where "for chess pondering". The only thing you _could_ do is write a program that listens to the data exchange between the Chess Partner GUI and the Tiger engine, then try to make sense of those data to understand how their communication works. Then do the same for the Chessbase GUI and write an interface program between the two. It's doable, but I'd rather wait another month and even shell out another $50 - heck, each working hour in my job is worth twice that, so why would I even bother spending days and weeks to get this right? :-) --- Shep
