How about giving it more time when the program can't make up it's mind, when the pv keeps changing - keep searching! Give it less time if it is a recapture or something easy like a constant score and move on pv. Anyway those are on my todo-list, but the list is long and this fail-low bug is pretty urgent I think. -S.
