Well, while watching the game it didn't appear anyone was under a time crunch, even in the beginning. I do agree that the settings would tend to favor a computer in the beginning, but not in the midgame. A couple points though: Larry either proposed the time controls or accepted this as "fair" (so it doesn't matter what we think), and also remember Larry is an amazing blitz player. He can handle quick openings. The next point is regarding someone who talked about the lag in moving pieces (might have been in another thread). Someone in the chat also brought this up: what if Larry has a mouse-slip? Well, I believe the lag and mouse slip is on both ends, I'd imagine. Chessmaster wasn't playing directly on ICC, right? I very well imagine it was John and other Ubi folk translating the game from the machine it was run on. So a few second lag happens on both sides. A very enjoyable few games! I have to admit after the first game, I thought Larry might have a clean sweep. Nice comeback by Chessmaster! Brian
