I believe Ruffian is getting MORE attention, just because it is non commercial,
and quite strong, and such a dark horse, also. Much different than most newly
released non commercial programs, certainly.

Although I have grave reservations regarding Ruffian, I should not air them in
public, without any evidence. Nonetheless, I enjoy reading the "dirt" :). Sort
of like reading tidbits in the "National Enquirer" while waiting for checkout at
the market.

The Chessmaster posts I also enjoy a lot. Great to have a new CM release, AND
have John M. here to give us all the scoop on it. (thank you, John)

And wasn't the match great?

What IS old and immediately tiresome to me is the name calling between T.M. &
J.S., and the Monty Hall problem.

The former fails any civility level. The latter just wasn't relevant and
belonged on the CTForum. If Rolf wants to delve into precise meanings and
understandings of testing methodology, he should find an example from Computer
Chess, not from a game show. The Monty Hall probabilities are interesting
though, and have been mentioned in CCC before. (I've posted previously on this
myself).

Rick, what kind of posts do you really like to see?

David
