I have tested Ruffian on K6-2/550 with similar disappointing results,
however, in a K6-III/450 it gets two or three times the speed depending on the
position, so the key is the L2 cache of the processor:
K6-2 has no L2 cache while K6-III has 256K at full speed (450 mhz)
