For the last 25 moves or so, in Pedersen (2266) -
Bergström (2306), European Club Championship,
Halkidiki, 28 September 2002 , White had been trying
to win with his extra pawn, the last ten or so in a
Queen's ending. Finally he saw his chance: 54.Qe5,
followed by Qh8 mate or a won pawn ending. Black saw
it too, and resigned. Both missed the not too hidden
mate in 3 with 54...Qxe5 55.fxe5 f4 and g5 mate.
