Your idea is good,but the real good ideas, which make the difference between the profi programs and amateur programs, nobody will tell. All other ideas are discussed here, and are in "Crafty", which everybody can download as a source. On the other side, a compendium about known ideas would be great. But if somebody does all this known things together, he has no "super" chess programm. I tried to put everything I heard in my programm, and Inmichess till now is not super. Why? Because all this things must fit together. Its like "chaos theory". Only a small change and the system gets to chaos. I have spent nights in writing really good code with very good ideas, and the whole system did not fit together.(Especially evaluation and speed). So the normal stuff as alpha beta, null move, hashing etc. you can describe. But then the tuning begins..... Werner
