ChessGenius Classic 7 runs winboard engines including CM9K and CM8K - they will
use the CG7 book.
Instructions for installing
CM9K is as follows:
1. The text between the double lines is typed/copied into a plain text file
named "cm9k.eng"

2. Place the file you just created, "cm9k.eng", in the "C:\Program
Files\ChessGenius Classic" directory.
3. Create a new directory for cm9k under the ChessGenius Classic\ENGINES
like this:
"C:\Program Files\ChessGenius Classic\ENGINES\cm9k"
4. Copy 2 files into the cm9k folder. First one inbetween.exe renamed to the
theking.exe. The second file is plain text file named inbetween.ini and it will
look something like this (cm_parm tts=134217728) means 128MB hash - DON'T USE
this setting <512MB of memory

5. Make a copy of your original "theking.exe" in the CM9K folder "C:\Program
Files\Chessmaster 9000" and rename it to "TheKing.3.23.exe".
6. Create a folder "c:\cm9k" and place the ""TheKing.3.23.exe" from step 4 into
this folder..
7. Obtain the winboard converter from here:
http://www.computerchess.com/bilder/downloads/wbkonverter.zip
8. Copy the WBConv.dll obtained from the wbkonverter.zip file and place it in
the "C:\Program Files\ChessGenius Classic\ENGINES\cm9k" directory.
9. Start ChessGenius Classic for Windows.
10. Select >Options>Add Engines and point to the cm9k.eng file in the
C:\Program Files\ChessGenius Classic" directory.
11. You now close the Genius 7 engine or you you have Genius 7 play CM9K in a
match.
Chess Genius Classic disables pondering for both engines automatically in match
mode with other engines.
There is plenty of help getting CM9K/Cm8K to run in other GUI's - you may want
to start with someing a little easier like Fritz, Winboard or Arena before
trying CG7 if this is the first time for you trying this.
