I do not think that karpov is better than kasparov against computers. Karpov is older than kasparov so if we talk about jasparov has the advantage. I also know that the history days that karpov had problems against computers and he could win deep thought only after a vlunder of deep thought in a draw rook endgame(a blunder that programs of today have no problem to avoid).
